A twist in my life

That day, my life changed forever. I had been a simple TV presenter of CNN since I was 20 years old, but that job had not already made me happy. When I felt it the first time, I realised that I wanted a change in my career, and the most important thing for me, a change in my lifestyle.

When I finished the TV programme at midnight, I went to my house. I felt very tired because I had been working the whole day. While I was drinking a glass of cold water, I was zapping. Suddenly, I found a very interesting programme about races in the desert of Morocco. I was absolutely fascinated by the sight of people riding camels across the desert.

That night I could not sleep because for ages, I had been dreaming of participating in that kind of race. The next day, I sent off my application by email and in 15 minutes I got an answer. I was accepted to take part of a selected group of people. I was on top of the world!

As soon as I received the answer, I phoned my boss to resign to my job in the channel. He did not understand anything, but he told me: "If you think this experience will make you really happy, do not doubt about it... go for it." I have never forgotten his words.

Two days later, I bought the airline ticket and in five days I arrived to in Morocco. I participated in the race and enjoyed it so much that I decided to live there forever. I married to an Arabian man and we are thinking of having children. I will never forget the night when I decided to give a twist to my life.
