The day that I dialed the wrong number

Once upon a time I decided to make meatballs, and one of the ingredients was peppermint. I knew that my neighbor always has this ingredient.

So I looked up in the telephone book, but I dialed the number that was above. I said, 'Hi, this is your neighbor, do you have peppermint?'
And she said: 'Sure, can you give me some?'
'Of course!'
'OK, thanks. I'm going to your home.'

When I arrived to at her home my neighbor said, 'Hi, what can I do for you?'
'What do you mean what can you do for me? I'm here for the peppermint, I just called you by phone.'
'By phone you didn't call me, but here I have some peppermint.'

When I returned to my home, I redialed the number and I realized that it was the wrong number. So I said, I'm going to apologize for this mistake.

I redialed again and a boy answered. I asked: 'Is your Mom there?'
'No, she is not.'
'Do you know where is she she is?
And the boy said: 'She went to our neighbor's house to take her some peppermint.'
'Oh no,' I said, 'I am going to wait for your Mom to apologize myself.'

A few minutes later she arrived and I said: 'I'm very sorry, I dialed the wrong number.'
And she said: 'Well my neighbor was mad with me and I thought that she wanted to be my friend again. Since she didn't show up, I decided to go to her home.'

And I said: 'What did she say about the peppermint?'
'She said what kind of joke is this? I had to explained everything but finally we are friends again.'
I said, 'Well, I'm happy to hear that. Please forgive me.'
